Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology services the Brisbane metropolitan area and regional areas extending as far north as Cairns and south to Coffs Harbour and offers both routine testing and specialised testing for referral laboratories throughout Australia.
About the Opportunity
Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology now has multiple full-time opportunities for Complex and Non-Complex Dissectionists to join their Histopathology Department at Bowen Hills.
Reporting to the Coordinator/Manager and working closely with Pathologists, Pathology Trainees and staff in all areas of the department, these positions are responsible for specimen receipt, dissection and processing of a wide variety of tissue types including simple, non-complex and complex specimens.
The successful candidates will hold a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Applied Science, MBBS or other appropriate qualifications and experience. Membership of the American Association of Pathologists’ Assistants is desirable for complex dissection.
Proven knowledge, expertise and experience in dissection of simple, non-complex and complex specimens is required, along with excellent coordination and interpersonal skills, a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and a dedication to planning and problem solving. Importantly, you'll be enthusiastic and have a flexible approach to the work environment.
