About the Opportunity
Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology has an exciting opportunity for a full-time (37.5 hours/wk) Pathology Services Assistant to join their team in the Lismore Laboratory at St Vincent's Private Hospital.
Applicants must be available to participate in a rotational roster with full availability between 10.30am - 8.30pm, Monday to Friday.
Your key responsibilities in the laboratory will be:
- Specimen registration, coding of tests and other data entry functions
- Preparing specimens for analysis/transport
- General administration duties
- Courier driving as required
- Dispatching specimens
- Assisting in other areas of the laboratory
The role requires an enthusiastic attitude, excellent communication skills and an employment history which shows initiative, attention to detail and proven ability to work within a team focused, high pressure environment. The ability to work comfortably while under pressure cannot be underestimated in this role.
All applicants please note; this is not a receptionist role. The role is laboratory based with a key focus on data entry, specimen handling and courier driving as required.
The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience in a similar role within a laboratory / healthcare environment, along with strong computer skills.
