About the Opportunity
Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Scientist/Technician to work in the Frozen Section of the Histopathology Department in Bowen Hills, Brisbane.
The main aim of this varied role is to perform medical laboratory tests to provide advice for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases and other disorders.
Duties will include:
- Embedding;
- Microtomy;
- Attending Frozen Section and MOHs procedures; and
- General laboratory procedures involved in the preparation of histological specimens.
Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology is seeking someone with previous experience in specimen reception, embedding, microtomy and particularly frozen sections and Mohs procedures.
The ideal candidates will have well developed interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work as an effective team member. A good phone manner and exceptional attention to detail is also essential.
You will need to be available to cover a variety of rostered shifts primarily between 7am - midnight on weekdays, with participation in a weekend roster. Therefore, Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology is seeking flexible and enthusiastic individuals.
