Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Histopathology Department Manager (2IC) to work in their laboratory at Bowen Hills.
Sullivan Nicolaides is looking for a challenge-driven and strategically adept individual to oversee and coordinate the activities within the laboratory, manage workflow and quality, recruit, train, supervise and roster staff as well as liaising with Bowen Hills and regional pathologists and the development of new techniques.
The successful applicant will have a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Applied Science or appropriate qualification and preferably a higher qualification relevant to Histopathology, along with proven knowledge, expertise and experience in all areas of responsibility. Excellent coordination, supervisory and interpersonal skills and a passion to maintain high standards of quality are essential.
You will be dedicated to planning and problem solving, as well as being enthusiastic, have a flexible approach to the work environment, and have a sound knowledge and understanding of WH&S, NATA, ISO standards and Quality
It is essential that you have extensive technical and supervisory experience. You will also be passionate about developing and managing employees, including providing training, leadership and development coaching, as well as staying abreast of scientific knowledge and technologies.
