Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology is one of the largest pathology practices in Australia, providing comprehensive services to patients and doctors over a geographic area throughout Queensland and New South Wales and employing more than 2000 people.
Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology services the Brisbane metropolitan area and regional areas extending as far north as Cairns and south to Coffs Harbour and offers both routine testing and specialised testing for referral laboratories throughout Australia.
Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology currently has Laboratory Assistant opportunities for either multiple permanent part-time positions or a single full-time position, within the Molecular Pathology Department of the Bowen Hills Laboratory.
Positions exist for three evenings a week, across Tues/Wed/Thurs or Wed/Thurs/Fri evenings, OR for Full-time. Shift times are 7.5 hours and currently range across the time frame 5pm to 2.30am. Shift start times of the different rostered benches vary from 5pm through 7.30pm. After sufficient training participation in the Molecular Pathology weekend and public-holiday roster is also required.
After training has been provided, your key duties will include:
Suitable applicants will be enthusiastic and possess good communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills. They will also be committed to SNP policy and procedures, and have the ability to work unsupervised or as part of a busy and motivated team.
A high level of commitment to laboratory turnaround times, customer service, processing accuracy, and laboratory goals is required.
