About the Opportunity
Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology is seeking a part time Pathology Specimen Collector to join their NSW Grafton team, working primarily in Grafton Area Collection Centres including Maclean and Yamba.
The primary task of this role is to take blood samples from patients.
Some of the more specific responsibilities of the position will be to:
- Provide quality patient care for our patients;
- Collect blood and body fluid specimens including urine and faeces;
- Record patient information in our database;
- Complete online training via our eLearning training system; and
- Liaise with referrers and ancillary services.
The ideal candidate will have a high level of written and verbal communication skills, along with dedication to excellent customer service. You must also be able to work independently as well as in a team, and demonstrate the ability to perform tasks in a timely manner.
Candidates with pathology specimen collection experience will be held in high regard, although this is not essential. Staff members will be given a chance to develop their skills through ongoing training, providing an avenue for career development and advancement.
You will work across various areas and must be available to work shift rotations between the hours of 7.00am and 5.00pm, Monday to Friday, and participate in a monthly Saturday shift 7.00am – 10.00am.
